About the Annual Symposium

December 1 and 2, 2022 · Northwestern University's James L Allen Center, 2169 Campus Drive, Evanston, IL 60208.

Opportunities to address the pressing global impacts of climate change have never been more critical, particularly in this consequential Climate Decade. From the clean energy economy to intersectional issues like environmental justice, sustainable investing, climate policy, and science communication, there are countless ways Northwestern faculty and collaborators are lending expertise to guide the way forward.

As the University hub for research and education in sustainability and energy, the Institute for Sustainability and Energy at Northwestern (ISEN) gathered faculty and partners on Dec. 1-2 to discuss new and ongoing work that accelerates the speed, broadens the scale, and deepens the impact of climate and energy solutions worldwide.

The 2-day symposium included facilitated discussions at the convergence of more than 20 academic disciplines, departments, centers and institutes, and explored potential points of future University collaboration around Climate and Energy Transition, and Resilient Communities.
